Dickenson was one of the top players for the Lady Miner softball program in its early years, finishing her four-year career with a .340 batting average and ranking among leaders in school history in several offensive categories. She finished her career with the school record for hits with 165, doubles with 30, triples with 16 and runs batted in with 88. Dickenson batted over .300 and led the Lady Miners in RBI in all four seasons she played, setting the single-season record at the time in 1988 and tying that mark a year later. Her play earned her a spot on the All-MIAA in three of her four seasons, including a first-team award following the 1990 season when the Lady Miners reached the championship game of the MIAA Tournament. She also played two seasons with the Lady Miner soccer team and scored seven goals during the 1987 season.
