Missouri S&T's men's soccer team had a magical run during the 2010 season, one that saw it win a share of the Great Lakes Valley Conference's regular season championship and earning the program's first berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.  The Miners finished with a record of 11-6-3 overall and went 9-2-3 in the GLVC, a performance predicated by its play on the defensive end of the field as they held their opponents to 16 goals in 20 games and recorded a school record 11 shutouts.  S&T earned its first-ever wins in a conference tournament by defeating Bellarmine and in the national tournament with a win over Ashland before falling in the Midwest Regional championship game to eventual national champion Northern Kentucky.  Goalkeeper Pat McNamee, who finished with a 0.67 goals against average and defender Spencer Brinkmeyer were named to the Daktronics All-America squad following the season, while Sam Shaffer and Kyle Schraier shared the team scoring lead with 13 points apiece. S&T had five All-GLVC selections following the season.
