Gronewold was one of the most decorated players in the history of the Miner football program, earning All-America honors in each of his final three seasons and setting numerous school records.  In a career that saw him accumulate 5,592 all-purpose yards, 3,708 receiving yards and 58 touchdowns, Gronewold was named to All-America teams by the Associated Press, Daktronics, Football Gazette and D2Football.com following the 2007 campaign when he was also a regional finalist for the Harlon Hill Award.  In the 2007 season, he recorded 2,250 all-purpose yards and set a new single-season mark for receiving yards with 1,120 in 2006, one of three straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.   His 58 career touchdowns also included five kick returns for touchdowns, highlighted by two kickoff returns for scores in a 2007 contest against Tiffin.  Gronewold was also a three-time all-conference selection during his Miner career and was the Great Lakes Football Conference's "Offensive Player of the Year" in 2006.
