Missouri S&T Athletics

Nickel was the captain of the 1937 football team and was an honorable mention All-MIAA selection in 1936.  He played quarterback and defensive back for the first Miner team to play in the MIAA.  In addition, he won two letters in track & field to go along with the four earned in football.
