Brooks completed her four-year career with the Lady Miner softball program as the career leader in several categories, including games and innings pitched, wins, complete games, shutouts and strikeouts. She was the winning pitcher 47 times in her S&T career, with a 1.72 earned run average, 460 strikeouts, 19 shutouts and 83 complete games in 578 innings pitched. Her 1.38 earned run average in the 1991 season stood as the best single-season mark for more than a decade, a season in which she also set a single-game record by striking out 18 in a seven-inning shutout over Indiana (Pa.). She was a two-time All-MIAA selection and earned Academic All-America honors following the 2003 season.
