In four-plus seasons with the Miners, Williams set the program's career record with 224 steals and also tied the single game record with 12 assists, all while averaging 9.5 points and 3.5 assists per game throughout her 115-game career. Williams averaged in double figures in the scoring column in each of her final three seasons with the Miners, topped by a mark of 13.3 per game during the 1995-96 season when the team won a share of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular season championship and made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament. A three-time All-MIAA selection, Williams was the first player in program history to record at least 100 assists and 60 steals in two different seasons.
