Missouri S&T Athletics

One of the earliest athletic directors in the university’s history, “Spike” Dennie served in that role from 1909 until 1929, while also holding down the head football coaching post for many years after starting at MSM in 1909.  Dennie was an All-America player at Brown University before joining the Miner program and also served as a mathematics professor at the university until his death.
