Missouri S&T Athletics

Schmidt was a four-year letterman in football and also earned a letter in basketball.  On the gridiron, he was an All-MIAA selection at quarterback and set a school record for the longest completed pass in a game.  Schmidt played on MIAA championship teams in 1947 and 1949.
