The first Miner to earn a spot on the Little All-America team, Kromka was the captain of the Miners’ 1941 team that won the program’s first MIAA championship and also gained first-team all-conference honors that season.  The year ended with Kromka landing a second-team All-America honor from the Collegiate Sportswriters team.
