ROLLA, Mo. -- The Missouri S&T men's cross country team has been ranked 10th in the Midwest Region in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings of the 2025 season.
The Miners opened the year with a runner-up finish at the Bearcat Invitational in Bolivar. Andrew Bacon (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves) led the charge with a fourth-place overall finish and a personal-best time of 19:46.24, while Maddox Riley (Wentzville, MO/Timberland) also secured a top-10 finish in 20:16.15. Evan Mitchell (Shawnee, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest), Shaun Wolfe (Fulton, MO/Fulton), and Will Mourning rounded out the top five for S&T, placing 14th, 18th, and 21st, respectively.
S&T followed that effort with another strong showing at the Larry Young Invitational in Columbia, finishing second in the team standings. The Miners placed seven runners inside the top 20 to secure the podium result and continue their consistent start to the season.
What's Next
Missouri S&T will return to action on Friday, September 26, at the Gans Creek Classic, looking to build on its early-season momentum.
