Miners Place 15th at NCAA Midwest Regional Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. – Missouri S&T men's cross country turned in a strong team performance at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships, placing 15th out of 29 teams at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.

The Miners totaled 375 points, averaging 5:14 per mile across the 10K course and finishing with a team time of 2:42:06.6.

Leading the way for S&T was Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest), who earned a 26th-place finish out of 203 runners with a time of 31:30.8 (5:04 pace). He was followed closely by Andrew Bacon (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves), who ran a personal-best 31:45.0, placing 34th and averaging 5:07 per mile.

Maddox Riley (Wentzville, MO/Timberland) crossed the line next for the Miners, placing 68th with a time of 32:27.08, while Shaun Wolfe (Fulton, MO/Fulton) finished 112th in 33:11.0. Tate Uding (Festus, MO/Festus) rounded out the scoring five, placing 135th with a 33:52.7 mark.

Also competing for S&T were Spencer Pye (Merriam, KS/Shawnee Mission North) (143rd, 34:09.7) and Evan Mitchell (Shawnee, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) (158th, 34:30.2), both adding depth to a solid team effort.

With two runners in the top 35 and a tightly packed top seven, the Miners continued to build on their strong 2025 campaign, which included a third-place finish at the GLVC Championships, matching the program's best in school history.

What's Next
The Miners will find out on Monday if any individuals qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships.
