ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Golf moved up to #13 in NCAA Division II as their spring schedule begins next month.
The Miners went up to #13 in the Scoreboard rankings released on Wednesday. It continues their highest ranking in program history as they sit five spots ahead of the nearest GLVC team in Missouri-St. Louis. In the Midwest region, they are in second place behind Grand Valley State.
Individually,
Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) is ranked #31 in NCAA Division II following his two wins in the fall. The top five players for the Miners all sit in the top 151, with
Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) at #76,
Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) ranked #115,
Rizq Adam Rohizam () at #130 and
Nicolas Estrada (Zaragoza, Spain/IES Valdespartera) ranked #151.
Missouri S&T's spring schedule will begin on Mar. 4-6 at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff in Wesley Chapel, Florida. They will take a few days off until they go to the Hillcat Classic in Owasso, Oklahoma on Mar. 10-11.
Later in March, the Findlay Spring Invitational is from Mar. 24-25 in Richmond, Kentucky. The Ashland Spring Invitational in Ashland, Ohio, is from Mar. 29-31. The regular season will conclude on Apr. 6-8 at the Ken Partridge Invitational in Noblesville, Indiana.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships is slated for Apr. 20-22 in Bolivar, Missouri, at Silo Ridge Golf Club. Should the Miners make it, the NCAA DII Midwest/Central Super Regional is scheduled for May 8-10 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. The NCAA Championship is May 19-23 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Head coach
Anthony Monaco and his team will train for the rest of February until the Miners head down to the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff on Mar. 4-6.
