LIBERTY, Mo. – Missouri S&T got winning performances from Rachel Ederle (St. Louis, Mo./Affton) and Mary Ann Bradshaw (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) Saturday – with Ederle's good enough for an NCAA provisional standard – as the Lady Miners placed third in the Darrel Gourley Open Saturday at William Jewell College.

Ederle's top mark of 11-8½ in the pole vault reached the provisional mark as she finished ahead of teammate Natalie Mitchell (Gardner, Kan./Gardner-Edgerton), who cleared 11-1¾ to take second.  Meanwhile, Bradshaw posted a school record total of 4,374 points to win the heptathlon and narrowly missed the total needed for the provisional mark in the multi-events.  She recorded the top mark in six of the seven events in the competition.

S&T got second place efforts from Rachel Lawal in the 400-meters in 59.46 seconds, Bessie Mullins in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.40 seconds and Megan Schulte (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) in the 5,000-meters with a time of 20:01.17.

Simple came in sixth in the 200-meters in 26.83 seconds, while Ellis had a time of 5:19.66 in the 1,500-meters to finish seventh as did Diane Strong (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) in the 5,000 in 20:57.86 and Sydnee Schram (Kansas City, Mo./Winnetonka) in the javelin at 94-7.

Simple finished eighth in the 100-meters in 13.48 seconds after running a 13.18 in the preliminaries, while Smith was ninth in the 800-meters in 2:38.15.  Allie Wood (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley) was also ninth in the 5,000-meters in 21:14.95.
