LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Missouri S&T's men's cross country team finished in a tie for 12th place Saturday at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional meet held at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville.
Eric Fairbairn (Edmond, Okla./Deer Creek) was the top finisher for the Miners in Saturday's 10-kilometer race, crossing the finish line in a time of 32:39.89.
David Huskisson (Kirksville, Mo./Kirksville), who has been the top runner for the Miners throughout the season and was an all-conference performer, ended up 51
st in the 143-runner race with a time of 33:00.30.
Freshman
Wynn McClellan (Jackson, Mo./Notre Dame) finished in 71
st place in a time of 33:29.46, while
Grant Brown (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lone Jack) was 77
th in 33:37.05 and
Allen Ernst (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) rounded out S&T's top five with a time of 33:55.81 to finish 89
th overall.
The Miners finished tied with Ferris State in the team standings and were seventh among the teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the meet. Grand Valley State took the team title, with Southern Indiana coming in second and host Bellarmine in third.
