ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Missouri S&T men's distance group traveled to St. Louis on Friday to compete at the Washington University Distance Carnival, turning in several solid performances against a competitive field.
Leading the way for the Miners was Shaun Wolfe (Fulton, MO/Fulton), who placed 11th in the 10,000 meters
with a time of 30:46.66, delivering one of the top finishes of the meet for S&T.
In the 5,000 meters,
Spencer Pye (Merriam, KS/Shawnee Mission North) paced the Miners, finishing as the team's top runner with a time of 15:03.40 to place 68th in a deep field.
The Miners also saw a strong showing in the 1,500 meters, where
Jack Janovick (Spring Hill, KS/Spring Hill) broke into the top 20 with a time of 3:53.36.
Missouri S&T competed against a highly competitive field at one of the premier distance meets in the region as the Miners continue their outdoor campaign.
What's Next
The remainder of the Missouri S&T track & field team will travel to Bolivar, Missouri, to compete at the Southwest Baptist Invitational on Saturday as the Miners continue their outdoor season.
