Missouri S&T qualified athletes across multiple events, highlighted by the nation's top-ranked shot put mark and a distance medley relay squad that has been among the best in Division II throughout the winter. The Miners enter the national championships with momentum, as the men's team currently checks in at No. 17 in the USTFCCCA TFRI rankings at Checkpoint No. 7.
Leading the way for S&T is Owen Fraser (Kirksville, MO/Kirksville) after a dominant indoor campaign. Fraser enters the national meet ranked No. 1 in the country in the shot put with a school-record throw of 19.37 meters. He will also compete in the weight throw, where he is ranked ninth nationally with a mark of 20.69 meters,
giving the Miners a strong scoring presence in the throws.
In the distance events, Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) will represent the Miners in the
3,000 meters after posting a time of 7:57.39, which currently ranks 12th nationally. Born has been a key figure in Missouri S&T's success throughout the indoor season and will also anchor the Miners' distance medley relay.
Missouri S&T's distance medley relay team of Andrew Bacon (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves), Otto Knittel (Spring Hill, KS/Spring Hill), Jack Janovick (Spring Hill, KS/Spring Hill), and Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) enters the championships ranked ninth nationally with a time of 9:42.81.
