9/17/2025 12:00:00 PM

Rolla, Mo. -- Missouri S&T women's soccer is set to host Drury this Friday, September 19, at 5 p.m. at Allgood Bailey Stadium in its Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) home opener.

About the Miners
Miners return home after starting conference play with a 1-0 road victory at Lincoln on Sunday, moving to 1-0 in GLVC play and 3-1 overall. Nathalie Bello (Hattiesburg, MS/Sacred Heart) delivered the game-winner in the 84th minute, while goalkeeper Madeline Falls (Gilbert, AZ/Benjamin Franklin Charter) secured the shutout with three saves. Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) paced the attack with 10 shots, four of them on target, as S&T outshot the Blue Tigers 26-6 and earned 12 corner kicks.

Earlier in the week, the Miners battled Missouri Western in non-conference action, where Benassi scored her third goal of the season in a 2-1 defeat.

Through four matches, the Miners have created more than twice as many chances as their opponents and currently lead the GLVC in goals, shots, and assists.

About the Panthers
Drury enters the match at 1-1-1 overall and 0-0-1 in GLVC play following a 1-1 draw against Missouri-St. Louis. The Panthers opened the year with a 1-0 win over Emporia State before falling to Washburn 3-1. Goalkeeper Katy Fitzler, the reigning GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, anchors the back line and has already logged double-digit saves this fall. Offensively, three different players have found the back of the net in their first three games.

What's Next
Following Friday's home match, Missouri S&T will continue GLVC play next weekend as they host Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville.
