ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference for the upcoming 2025 season, while the women's squad was tabbed place seventh in the 14-team race by the league coaches.
The Miner men finished fifth in the GLVC last season and had its first national qualifier in over two decades when
Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Championships field, as he followed up his fourth place showing at the GLVC Championships with a ninth place performance at the Midwest Regional.
Besides Born, the Miners also return
Andrew Bacon (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves), who ended up 18
th at the GLVC Championships last season as part of their 34-man roster for the upcoming year.
S&T's women finished eighth a year ago at the GLVC Championships and will carry 13 runners on the roster this fall, led by sophomores
Scout Colvin (Kansas City, MO/Park Hill South) and
Meadow Lepert (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit North), each of whom finished among the top six for the Miners at last year's conference meet.
Defending GLVC champion Lewis was picked to win both the men's and women's conference race this season.
Missouri S&T's first competition of the season is set for Sept. 5 at the Bearcat Classic at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.
