SINGAPORE – Missouri S&T golf's Rizq Adam Rohizam (Selangor, Malaysia/Robert Louis Stevenson) finished tied for second at the 77th Singapore Amateur Championship today, ending 13-under after four rounds at the Orchid Country Club.
Rohizam shot under par all four days of the championship, starting off with a 67 in the opening round to end the first day near the top of the leaderboard. He shot a 71 in both rounds two and three to remain competitive in the field before posting a tournament-best round of 66 on the final day of competition.
Austrailia's Harry Takis took first place at the championship, shooting -24 over the four days of the tournament and going -8 on the final day. Rohizam tied with Hong Kong's Wang Ngai Shen for second place.
Rohizam also competed in the team competition, pairing with Aiden Kei Ahmad Shaharuddin to earn first place with a combined score of -13 after two rounds.
Rohizam will be back in action next week at the MEDCO Amateur Championship in Indonesia.
