ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Golf will play in the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional this week in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The Miners go into the Midwest/Central Super Regional as the #1 seed in the Midwest. They are also one of two GLVC representatives as Missouri-St. Louis is the #4 seed.
In their latest outing, Missouri S&T won the GLVC Championship for the first time in program history.
Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) finished third in stroke play to earn All-GLVC honors. In match play, S&T defeated both Lewis and Indianapolis 4-1.
Connor Benjamin (Nelson Bay, Australia/St. Philip's Christian College) defeated both the #1 and #2 players in stroke play during his match play outing.
This is the third straight outing that S&T has made the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional. Their highest finish during that time was in the 2022-23 season, where S&T placed second to go on to the NCAA Division II Championships. That was their highest finish since the restart of the program in 2017.
The Super Regional this season takes place at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Miners played on that course earlier this season at the Midwest Regional Preview. S&T collected third place as a team and
Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School) recorded first overall. They finished behind Missouri-St. Louis and Ferris State in that invitational.
In the latest Scoreboard rankings, the Miners are #20 in the nation, the second-highest Midwest team. In the central region, only #8 Central Oklahoma sits above S&T.
The Super Regional is from May 8-10, with 18 holes scheduled each day.
