ST. LOUIS, MO -- Missouri S&T had 17 athletes competing at the WashU Distance Carnival last week, with
Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) headlining the event. Born set another S&T record as he broke his own record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:04.59. His run also outpaced the Division II provisional mark as well.
Levi Frisbie (Jefferson City, MO/Blair Oaks) and
Nathan Liebetreu (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) each won their own section of the 5000, setting personal bests of 16:03.53 and 16:04.49. They were not the only ones to set a new personal best in the 5000 though, with
Zander Kimberlin-Poore (Springfield, MO/Central), Chris Pesselato,
Brady Monk (),
Parker Nowland (Fort Collins, CO/Fort Collins),
Jimmy Wacker (),
Ezra Bailey () and
Bryson Rhine (Festus, MO/Festus) all having career performances.
The 10000 meter was the only other event that the Miners participated in, with
Samuel Patterson (Cameron, NC/Union Pines) and
Joshua Patterson (Cameron, NC/Union Pines) finishing 5th and 7th in their section of the event.
