Schoenberger and Zipprich Earn GLVC Weekly Honors After Dominant Home Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T's Addie Schoenberger (Menomonee Falls, WI/Hamilton Sussex) and Kate Zipprich (Hardin, IL/Calhoun) have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Volleyball Players of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Schoenberger earned Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Zipprich collected Defensive Player of the Week recognition after leading the Miners to a 2-0 weekend with sweeps over Rockhurst and William Jewell.

Offensive Player of the Week – Addie Schoenberger (Menomonee Falls, WI/Hamilton Sussex)
Schoenberger was unstoppable on the attack, finishing the weekend with 18 kills, zero errors, and a .621 hitting percentage across two matches. In Friday's sweep of Rockhurst, she tallied 11 kills on 16 attempts (.688), including six kills on seven swings in a dominant 25-15 second set, while also adding six blocks to help the Miners post a season-high 14 team blocks.
She followed with seven kills on 13 attempts (.538) against William Jewell to close the weekend, powering an efficient S&T offense that hit over .300 in both matches.

Defensive Player of the Week – Kate Zipprich (Hardin, IL/Calhoun)
Zipprich anchored Missouri S&T's defense at the net, recording 14 total blocks (12 assists, 2 solos), along with 10 kills and one dig on the weekend, averaging 2.33 blocks per set. Against Rockhurst, the freshman middle tied her career high with eight blocks (seven assists, one solo), becoming the first Miner since Shelby Ply in 2023 to register eight or more blocks in a three-set match. She added five blocks (one solo, four assists) in the decisive third set to secure the win. Zipprich added six more blocks (five assists, one solo) in Saturday's sweep over William Jewell, leading a front-line unit that held opponents to a combined .076 hitting percentage over the two matches.
