ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Missouri S&T Women's Volleyball will compete in four matches this weekend at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational, hosted on the campuses of Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State. The Miners will face Ouachita Baptist, Texas A&M International, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Christian.

Saturday, September 5 – Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 5 – Mississippi Christian at 3:30 p.m.


About the Miners
S&T is coming off a strong opening weekend, going undefeated at the MSSU Tournament. The Miners earned five-set victories over Southeastern Oklahoma State and host Missouri Southern while sweeping Northeastern State and Northwestern Oklahoma State.

The Miners rank 2nd in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and 11th in Division II for service aces per set, averaging 2.56. S&T set a school record with 18 aces against Northwestern Oklahoma State, led by Elly Decker (Manhattan, IL/Lincoln-Way West) and Avery Patton (Lathrop, MO/Truman). Decker recorded nine aces during the tournament, while Maggie Miller (Gretna, NE/Gretna) added another eight.

Madison Smith (Boonville, MO/Boonville) and Adelyn Weiler (Ste. Genevieve, MO/Valle Catholic) have anchored the Miners' defensive efforts this season, with both ranking among the top 15 players in Division II. Smith leads the GLVC with 1.43 blocks per set, ranking 14th nationally. Weiler averages 5.56 digs per set, leading the conference and ranking 6th in Division II in total digs.


About Ouachita Baptist
The Tigers had one of their best seasons in program history last year, going 26-5 with a 15-1 in-conference record. However, their 2026 season is off to a much weaker start, with OBU going 1-3 after four matches at the McKendree Invitational.

Sophie Henry has been the Tigers' biggest offensive threat this season, averaging 3.13 kills per set with a .391 hitting percentage. Molly Williams has also been a key contributor for OBU, with the freshman averaging 0.5 aces per set, ranking fifth in the Great American Conference.


About Texas A&M International
The Dustdevils left the Drury Invitational with a split last weekend, going 2-2 in Springfield. They are hitting .225 as a team currently, led by Andrea Nunez's .240 mark.
 
Setter Guilia Gainelli is averaging 10.00 assists per set which ties her for second in the Lone Star Conference. Nunez and Mia Molina are the team's top attackers, with the two hitters combining for 95 kills in the first four matches.  
 

About Arkansas-Pine Bluff
The Lions had an abysmal 2025 campaign, going 1-25 and losing their last eight matches in a row. They have already matched their 2025 win total this season after going 1-2 at the Betty Austin Invitational, earning their lone victory in a five-set victory over North Carolina Central.

Pine Bluff has recorded 95 kills through their first three matches, led by Ashanti Butler with 24 in eleven sets. Butler also ranks 4th in blocks per set in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, averaging 0.82, followed closely by teammate Haley Reeves' 0.80. Setter Martyna Lubowicz has 35 assists this year and is 6th in the conference for aces per set at 0.50.
 

About Mississippi Christian
The Choctaws have dropped 12 of their 13 sets this season, dropping to 0-4 on the season. Sophomore outside hitter Emma Levingston leads the team in kills with 21 while teammate Holland Wilson has contributed another 20.

Defensive specialist Samarin Kipple ranks second in the Gulf South Conference for digs per set, averaging 4.46 through four matches. Mary Grace Foster and Rhaia Davey are the leading blockers for the Choctaws, with the two combining for 13 blocks this year.

The Miners head to Searcy, Arkansas next weekend for their final non-conference matches of the season at the Harding Invitational.
