JOPLIN, Mo. -- Missouri S&T Women's Volleyball earned four honorees on the All-Tournament team at the Missouri Southern State University Tournament, with
Selin Ozdemir (Ankara, Turkey/Bilim),
Addie Schoenberger (Menomonee Falls, WI/Sussex Hamilton),
Danielle Wilke (Palmer Lake, CO/Palmer Ridge), and
Kate Zipprich (Hardin, IL/Calhoun) all earning recognition for their performances in the first tournament of the season.
Selin Ozdemir (Ankara, Turkey/Bilim)
- Finished the weekend second on the team in kills with 38 for an average of 2.38 per set.
- Best match came against Missouri Southern where she recorded 19 kills on 40 attempts for a .325 hitting percentage.
Addie Schoenberger (Menomonee Falls, WI/Sussex Hamilton)
- Led S&T's hitters in hitting percentage at the tournament with a .274 mark.
- Recorded 30 kills and added 9 blocks.
- Hit .583 against Northeastern State.
Danielle Wilke (Palmer Lake, CO/Palmer Ridge)
- Led the team in kills with 46 for an average of 2.88 per set.
- Hit .252 over the course of four matches, highlighted by a .579 mark against Northeastern State.
- Second on the team in blocks with 17.0, contributing 6 to Saturday's school record 16 blocks in a 5-setter.
Kate Zipprich (Hardin, IL/Calhoun)
- Picked up 14.0 blocks, six of which came in S&T's school-record performance against Southeastern Oklahoma State.
- Hit over .400 in two matches, including .429 against Missouri Southern where she had 15 kills.
What's Next
The Miners head for Arkdelphia, Arkansas this weekend, with four matches at the Reddie-Tiger invitational between Friday and Saturday.
