ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T utility player
Bryn Wooldridge (Salisbury, Mo./Salisbury), who has stood out as both a pitcher and third baseman during the course of the 2024 season, was named today to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-Midwest region second team at the utility-pitcher position.
Wooldridge, who was the winning pitcher for the Miners in all four S&T victories last weekend as the Miners captured their first Great Lakes Valley Conference championship, has posted a 17-12 record in the circle with a 3.36 earned run average. She ranks fourth in the GLVC in strikeouts with 181 in 169 innings of work and has recorded at least 10 strikeouts in seven games this season, including a career-high 13 in the GLVC championship game win over Indianapolis.
She is also the Miners' second-leading hitter with a .341 batting average, 26 runs batted in and 26 runs scored. When she isn't pitching, Wooldridge mans third base for the Miners and between the two positions, has committed only two errors in 166 chances over the course of the season.
Wooldridge is the first Miner to earn NFCA all-region honors since 2018, when Abby Klein earned the award as the second team shortstop. She was selected to the All-GLVC second team at the utility-pitcher spot.
The Miners are currently competing at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional at the University of Indianapolis.
