ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T softball has been ranked No. 7 in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings, as announced this week.
The Miners enter the final weekend of the regular season with a 31-15 overall record and an 18-6 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play. Missouri S&T joins three other GLVC programs in the rankings, including No. 1 UIndy, No. 2 McKendree, and No. 9 UMSL, highlighting the conference's strength across the region.
Missouri S&T has put together a strong all-around season, ranking among the top teams in the league offensively and in the circle. The Miners are hitting .291 as a team with 255 runs and 50 home runs, while posting a 3.14 team ERA and holding opponents to a .255 batting average.
Taylor Nelson (Hailey, ID/Phillips Exeter Academy) leads the Miners offensively, batting .430 with 16 home runs, 43 RBI, and a .904 slugging percentage, while Claire Lopez (Olathe, KS/Olathe Northwest) (.340) and Kaylee LaChappell (.339) continue to provide consistency throughout the lineup.
In the circle, AJ Agers (DeSoto, MO/St. Pius X) anchors the pitching staff with a 2.16 ERA and a 16-8 record across 142.2 innings, while Mia Miller (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) has added 11 wins and 89 strikeouts to give Missouri S&T a strong one-two combination.
The Miners have already clinched a berth in the GLVC Tournament, which begins May 6 in East Peoria, Illinois.

Missouri S&T will conclude the regular season at home this weekend, hosting Rockhurst on Saturday, May 2 for Senior Day before welcoming Southwest Baptist on Sunday, May 3 for Alumni Day.
