WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Missouri S&T's women's track & field team recorded nine top-10 finishes on Friday as it competed at the Mule Relays at the University of Central Missouri.
Olivia Henkel (Liberty, MO/Liberty North) had a third place showing in the high jump as she went over the bar at 5-4¼ and
Maya Wright (Hillsboro, MO/Hillsboro) was fourth in the 100-meters hurdles with her time of 15.04 after running a 15-seconds flat time in the preliminaries. S&T also got a fifth place showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase from
Grace Giesler (Owasso, OK/Owasso) in a time of 11:46.65, while
Victoria Regitz (Rockville, MD/Rockville) got sixth in 12:07.98.
Lauryn Fenoglio (Granite City, IL/Granite City) got a sixth in the long jump with a mark of 16-8½, one-half inch ahead of Wright's leap that earned her a seventh place finish. Wright also had a seventh place showing in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.51.
Clare Holmes (Camdenton, MO/Camdenton) was 10
th in the 1,500-meters in 4:57.35 as was
Hailey Smith (Wentzville, MO/Timberland) in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:06.41.
Sydney Stephens (Plattsburg, MO/Plattsburg) recorded seasonal-best marks of 151-7 in the hammer throw and 139-1 in the discus.
Missouri S&T will host the Dewey Allgood Invitational next Saturday at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.
