PITTSBURG, Kan. – Missouri S&T's Jacob Luebbert (Warsaw, MO/Warsaw) earned his third career All-America award Friday with a seventh place finish in the weight throw at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships at Pittsburg State University.

Luebbert posted his best throw in the opening round of 20.70 meters, or 67-11, that was the second-best mark of his career. In his five remaining attempts, only one of them was marked and that came in the fourth round when he had a throw of 66-4½.

Following the first round, Luebbert stood in fourth place and he was fifth entering the finals before being passed by two others during the final two rounds of throws.

Luebbert, who holds the school record in the event with his throw of 68-1¾ at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships in February, finished fourth in the weight throw at the indoor national meet last season and earned a third place finish in the hammer throw at the outdoor nationals later in the year.
