ROLLA, Mo. – One of the most successful seasons in recent years for Missouri S&T's swimming team was capped off Tuesday when the Miners were again named a recipient of the team Scholar All-America Award from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for the 2019 spring semester.
The team awards are given to squads that post at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the course of a semester. The Miners were among 52 NCAA Division II schools – out of a record 777 overall – and eight in the Great Lakes Valley Conference to make the men's list.
Missouri S&T finished with a team grade point average of 3.19 in the spring semester.
The Miners have earned the Scholar All-America award in each of the last 11 semesters, including the 2018 fall term. The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-America selections next week.
S&T finished second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and sixth at the NCAA Division II Championships in the 2018-19 season.
