Miners Swim Earns 26th Consecutive Team Scholar All-America; Six Individuals Also Honored

RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its Scholar All-America Teams and Individuals for the Spring 2026 semester, with the Missouri S&T men's swimming team once again earning Team Scholar All-America recognition. The Miners also had six student-athletes receive Individual Scholar All-America honors.

Missouri S&T earned its 26th consecutive Team Scholar All-America award after posting a team grade point average above 3.00 during the spring semester. The Miners' streak dates back to the Fall 2013 semester, having maintained a team GPA of at least 3.00 every semester for the past 13 academic years.

The Miners finished the spring with a 3.65 team GPA, tying for the third-highest mark among all NCAA Division II men's swimming and diving programs. Missouri S&T trails only the University of Bridgeport (3.77) and Ashland University (3.65).

Six Miners were also recognized individually by the CSCAA. Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West), Jordan Christensen (Coralville, IA/Iowa West), and Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) were named First Team Scholar All-Americans after each competed at the NCAA Division II Championships while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.50. Earning Second Team Scholar All-America honors were John Cottrell (Fort Madison, IA/Fort Madison), Oscar Iden (Oslo, Norway/Oslo Private Gymnasium), and Gabriel Peragallo (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colégio Santo Antônio).

About the CSCAA Scholar All-America Awards
The CSCAA Team Scholar All-America Award recognizes programs that achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the previous semester. Individual First Team Scholar All-America honorees must maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 while competing at their respective national championship. Second Team Scholar All-America recipients must also earn a GPA of at least 3.50 and achieve the required NCAA qualifying standard or equivalent championship qualification criteria.
