ROLLA, MO-The Miners are back on the road this weekend as they travel East to face off against the Screaming Eagles of Southern Indiana on Thursday and the Knights of Bellarmine University on Saturday afternoon.
S&T is coming off three games played in five days where they went 2-1 against their GLVC opponents.Â
Last Thursday, the Miners scored a season high 59 points in the second half of the game to out-power Illinois Springfield 83-77.
Alex Kerr (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy) had a career high 24 points while
Mykala Baylor (South Bend, Ind./Clay),
Jordan Kabetske (Republic, Mo./Republic), and
Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) all hit double-digit scoring.
S&T struggled on Saturday as McKendree University exploded in the fourth quarter while holding the Miners to just six points. The 12 point advantage would give the Bearcats the 76-63 win.
Michaela Davis (Keokuk, Iowa/Keokuk) broke her career record for points scored with a game high 19 points while
Maddie Raley (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern) and
Ashley Harvey (Raytown, Mo./Raytown) both chipped in 10.
After winter weather postponed the Miner's game against Indianapolis on January 12, S&T welcomed the Greyhounds last night. S&T got a much-needed win over UIndy on Monday night as they cruised to an 81-61 win behind
Maddie Raley's (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern) game high 22 points.
The Miners are led by

Mykala Baylor (South Bend, Ind./Clay) has been unstoppable on the defensive end with her conference leading 2.77 blocks per game and her 9.0 rebounds per game, ranking 4

Southern Indiana (13-4, 6-1 GLVC) is currently on a three-game win streak; one that was extended with two wins after their trip to Kansas City this past weekend.
After taking down Rockhurst 86-64, the Screaming Eagles turned around and held William Jewell to just 21 second half points. Alex Davidson posted a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds while Emma DeHart went 4-8 from the field for 15 points. USI's defense helped lead them to the 65-51 win over the Cardinals.
The Screaming Eagles are led by Alex Davidson and her 13.8 points per game. Kacy Eschweiler, Imani Guy, and Emma DeHart are also averaging double figures with just over 10 points per game for each. As a team, USI is averaging just under 75 points per game while beating their opponents by almost 12 points.
The Miners lead the all-time series against Southern Indiana 13-6 with the last win coming in February 2016 when S&T made a season high nine three-pointers to defeat the Screaming Eagles 76-69. The last time the two teams met was last season where the Screaming Eagles had scored 31 points in the opening quarter to take a comfortable lead. That lead would cruise them to a 90-71 win over the Miners.

Bellarmine (8-7, 2-5 GLVC) is coming off a three-game losing streak that was extended this past weekend with losses to William Jewell and Rockhurst University.
William Jewell held the Knights to just seven first quarter points. That deficit to begin the game would give the Cardinals just enough leverage to take down Bellarmine 76-61.
