INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T women's basketball saw two student-athletes recognized for their efforts both on and off the court as Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) was named Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference and Morgan Luebbering (St. Thomas, MO/Fatima) received the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
Gum, a junior guard and forward, led the Miners throughout the season and finished as the team's top scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game while starting all 26 contests. She also was one of the top rebounders with 150 total rebounds, averaging 5.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 83.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Gum's consistent production and leadership helped guide Missouri S&T to a 12-14 overall record and an 8-12 mark in GLVC play this season.
Luebbering was honored with the GLVC's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, recognizing the student-athlete who best exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship, ethical behavior, and integrity in athletics. Luebbering appeared in all 26 games for the Miners this season, contributing 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while providing energy and leadership for the program.
