Rolla, Mo. - The Missouri S&T Lady Miners look to bounce back from its loss at Southwest Baptist as it heads up North to take on Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. It's the middle game of a three-game road trip for S&T as it'll take on ninth ranked Lewis University on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Romeoville, Ill.
In their last outing the Lady Miners shot a season-low 25 percent (14-for-56) from the floor and turned the ball over 23 times in the loss at SBU on New Year's Day.
Bria Pierce (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley North) and
Jamy Douvier (Sedgwick, Kan./Sunrise Christian Academy) led S&T with 13 and 11 points respectively in the contest.
For the season Pierce leads the team in scoring with 10.8 points per game while Douvier and
Raetchel Gray (Allen, Okla./Byng ) are averaging 9.3 and 9.2 points per contest respectively. Douvier also leads the squad in rebounding with 7.3 rebounds per game while Pierce is pulling down 5.6 boards per night.
Wisconsin-Parkside enters Thursday's game with a 7-4 record, 1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference after dropping a 67-63 contest against Lewis this past Saturday in Kenosha. Brittney Fair and Rani Singh led the team in scoring with 16 and 15 points respectively.
Kristin Conniff is the team's leading scorer with nearly 14 points per game while Stephanie Furr and Tara Knapstein are averaging 11 and 10.7 points per contest respectively. Jessica Prince leads the squad in rebounding with 6.1 per contest and Knapstein has dished out a team best 28 assists.
Lewis enters Thursday's showdown against sixth ranked Drury with a record of 12-1, 3-0 in the GLVC and have won seven straight. The Flyers are led in scoring by Mariyah Brawner-Henley with 19.4 points per game while Jessica Kelliher is dropping in 18 points per contest.
Jamie Johnson, the team's leading scorer with 22.2 ppg, has missed the last seven games for the Flyers while Tiana Karopulos has missed the last eight games. Brawner-Henley also leads the team in rebounding with 11.2 rpg and steals with 28. Alyssa Siwek has dished out a team-high 56 assists.
Lewis still leads the conference in field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage and is second in the league in scoring behind Drury.
