Rolla, Mo. - The Missouri S&T Lady Miners begin a stretch on Thursday that sees it play four of their next six games at Billy Key Court. It begins against Saint Joseph's who is one of the hottest teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference winners of eight of its last 10 games. On Saturday the Lady Miners welcomes Indianapolis to Rolla for a 1 p.m. tip-off.

S&T looks to reverse a trend that has seen them drop three straight and four of its last five overall. The Lady Miners led for over half the game against ninth ranked Lewis but were unable to avoid a 12-0 run by the Flyers turning a four-point lead for S&T into an eight-point deficit.

Bria Pierce (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley North), who had a team-high 15 points in the setback at Lewis, leads the Lady Miners in scoring with an average of 11.6 points per game. In her last six contests she's averaging 13.5 points and nearly six rebounds per game and has reached double figures in all six of those games. Pierce is shooting nearly 44 percent from the floor in those contests.

Jamy Douvier (Sedgwick, Kan./Sunrise Christian Academy) has been just as impressive over her last eight games reaching double figures seven times and has raised her scoring average to 9.5 points per game. During that stretch she's also averaging over eight rebounds per game and currently leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 per contest.

Saint Joseph's enters Thursday's contest with a 10-4 mark, 3-1 in the GLVC after picking up a pair of home wins last weekend. The Pumas have won four straight and their only two losses in the last 10 games have come against two teams ranked in the top 10 nationally. (Lewis and Ashland). Saint Jospeh's had a strong second half performance shooting over 60 percent from the field to hold off Missouri-St. Louis for a 75-71 victory.

In the 82-70 win over Maryville on Saturday the Pumas shot 54.4 percent from the field and was paced by Lauren Davis with 29 points to lead three Pumas in double figures. Courtney Kvachkoff added 19 points while Kalea Parks finished with 18.

Davis, who previously played at the University of Charleston, is sixth in the GLVC in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game after her performance against Maryville. Parks is ninth in the league with her average of 14.9 points a game. Parks, who was the GLVC's "Freshman of the Year" three years ago while she was playing for current Puma head coach Steve Harold at Drury, is also pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game. Brittany Morris leads the league with 87 assists.

Indianapolis is 3-11, 1-3 GLVC heading into Thursday night's contest at Drury. The Greyhounds have dropped five of their last seven contests but did pick up a 64-55 win over Missouri-St. Louis this past Saturday. Princess German led three 'Hounds in double figures with 18 points while Sarah Costello and Devin Ferguson had 17 and 13 points respectively.

German leads the league in scoring with 21.5 points per game while Nicole Anderson is 10th dropping in 14.6 points per night. Anderson leads the team in rebounding with 7.4 boards per contest.

Scoring has been a problem for Indianapolis averaging just 60.8 points per game, but it's averaging almost two points per game more in GLVC play.
