S&T has struggled to score averaging just 48 points and shot just 29.7 percent (35-for-118) from the floor and was just 4-of-21 from beyond the arc (19.0 percent).
The Lady Miners held their own on the glass with a 38.5-to-37.5 advantage on the boards, but have committed 32 turnovers against just 19 assists.

After giving up 74 points in the exhibition opener S&T did a better job defensively at UMKC holding the Kangaroos to just 62 points and just 35.3 percent shooting in the contest. Defending the three-point line was a problem in those two contests as they allowed the opposition to make 20-of-48 attempts (41.7 percent).
