New Look Lady Miners take court for first time in 2014-15 on Saturday

(Rolla, Mo.) – Fans can get their first look of the 2014-15 Missouri S&T Lady Miners this Saturday at 3 p.m. when S&T hosts Lindenwood-Belleville in an exhibition game at the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. Prior to the exhibition game the Lady Miners will be holding an alumni game at 1 p.m.

S&T has 10 new faces on this year's squad and returns only two players from last year's team in junior Leigh-Ann Kesper (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) and sophomore Elsie Greenwood (Breckenridge, Mo./Penney High School). The Lady Miners have two seniors, three juniors, three sophomores and four freshmen on this year's roster.

Lindenwood-Belleville went 21-11 last season and lost in the second round of the Association of Independent Institutions Tournament to Cal State San Marcos 82-68 in Marietta, Ga. The Lynx are beginning the fifth year of their program and have moved from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association to the American Midwest Conference in the NAIA.

Senior Shelby Kohrmann set a program record last year for points in a season with 627 points and led the team in scoring with an average of 19.6 per contest. Also back for the Lynx is their fourth leading scorer senior Taylor James who averaged nearly 10 points per contest.
