FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Missouri S&T's Brad Chronister finished 22
nd overall out of the 207 competitors in the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday, as the Miners finished 11
th in the team competition Saturday morning.
Chronister covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26 minutes to lead the Miner contingent Saturday.
Danny Deposki (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh) was S&T's second runner across the finish line in 26:29, while
Justin Brown (Independence, Mo./Truman) finished in 79
th place overall with a time of 27:14. The last two S&T runners were
Nathan Boys (Pomona, Mo./West Plains), who posted a time of 27:36 and
Chris Marchman (Sheridan, Ark./Sheridan), who finished in 27:44.
Augustana won the men's team competition with a total of 56 points, winning by 22 points over West Texas A&M and by more than 50 over Missouri Southern in a meet that featured 21 teams at the non-Division I level.
Missouri S&T will hold its home meet next weekend, the Jackling Jocks Invitational, with the men's race set to begin at 9:45 a.m. at the S&T Golf Course.
