LEXINGTON, KY  --  Missouri S&T Men's Golf had another strong outing over the weekend, earning second place at the Saginaw Valley State University Spring Invitational over the weekend. Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) led the Miners with a score of +1 that was tied for third in the field and earned him All-Tournament honors.

S&T and Findlay were locked in a dogfight early in the tournament, trading leads and creating separation from the rest of the field early. The Miners held the advantage after round one, shooting two strokes better than the Oilers with a team score of +2.

Rizq Adam Rohizam (Selangor, Malaysia/Robert Louis Stevenson) and Komyati had stellar second rounds, shooting -3 and -2, respectively. However, Findlay also had a solid second round, shooting -7 to S&T's -3 and taking a two stroke lead at the end of day one.

Day two and the final round of play brought 40+ mph wind gusts that made playing conditions difficult. The Miners fell back of Findlay by three more strokes on the final day, ending the tournament +19 to take second place.

What's Next
S&T will return to Kentucky next week, set for the Findlay Spring Invitational on March 23rd and 24th.
