ROLLA, Mo. – Platform Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America has named Missouri S&T's golf team as one of its recipients for the President's Special Recognition Award for the 2025-26 season, while three individual members of the squad were also honored as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.

The three individuals named – based on having a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher, playing in 50 percent of the team's competitive rounds with an average score of 78 or below -- were Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year Risq Adam Rohizam, Cole Komyati (Elberta, AL/Bayside Academy) and Isaac To (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia/Real International School). 

Rohizam, who was majoring in business at S&T, had the team's best scoring average of the season of 71.4 and was the medalist at two tournaments during the season.  To, who majored in information science and technology at S&T, finished with a seasonal average of 72.7 shots per round and won medalist honors at the Bill Crabtree Invitational.

Komyati, the Miners' highest finisher at the GLVC Championships where he placed third overall and at the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional where he tied for 10th, averaged 73 shots per round during the season and majored in mechanical engineering.

It was the third consecutive year in which To and Komyati were honored on an individual basis by the GCAA, while Rohizam was named for the first time.

As a team, the Miners made the GCAA's team academic list for the seventh time since the program was reinstated in 2017 and was on the President's Special Recognition list, awarded to teams with a 3.5 or greater grade point average, for the second straight year and fifth time overall.

A total of 26 teams made the top academic list, including four schools from the GLVC.
