Women’s Basketball Welcomes Illinois Springfield in Rescheduled GLVC Matchup

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's basketball are back in Gibson Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 10, hosting the University of Illinois Springfield in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup that was rescheduled after being postponed earlier in the season due to weather. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

The Miners enter the midweek contest 8–11 overall and 4–9 in GLVC play, looking to gain momentum as conference action continues.

About the Miners
Missouri S&T has relied on physical play and rebounding strength throughout the season, averaging 67.0 points per game while pulling down 41.7 rebounds per contest, good for a +6.8 rebounding margin. The Miners have also been solid defensively, holding opponents to 61.3 points per game and averaging 3.5 blocks per outing.

Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) leads Missouri S&T offensively at 13.3 points per game, while also contributing 5.7 rebounds per contest. Ava McCulla (St. Louis, MO/Parkway South) anchors the frontcourt with 8.6 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game, and Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) adds 10.0 points per game, providing consistent scoring on the perimeter.

About the Prairie Stars
Illinois Springfield enters Tuesday night 9–13 overall and 6–8 in GLVC play and is one of the league's most dangerous perimeter-shooting teams. The Prairie Stars average 8.4 three-pointers per game while shooting 36.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Kayla Rice leads UIS with 15.0 points per game, while Julia Mingus adds 12.8 points per contest and shoots nearly 49 percent from three-point range. Kennedy Osterman contributes 11.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Defensively, UIS is aggressive, forcing 23.0 turnovers per game and ranking among the conference leaders in steals, making ball security a key factor in the matchup.

What's Next
Following Tuesday's home contest, Missouri S&T hits the road to continue GLVC play, traveling to Truman State University on Thursday, Feb. 12, before closing the week at William Jewell College on Saturday, Feb. 14, with tip-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
