INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Missouri S&T men's track and field standouts Owen Fraser (Kirksville, MO/Kirksville) and Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) swept this week's Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors following their record-breaking performances at the Bearcat Invitational. Fraser was named GLVC Field Athlete of the Week, while Born earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week recognition.

In addition to his conference honor, Fraser was also named NCAA Division II National Athlete of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) – GLVC Track Athlete of the Week
Henry Born (Lake Quivira, KS/Shawnee Mission Northwest) delivered a historic weekend in Maryville, anchoring the Miners' 4,000-meter distance medley relay with a blazing 4:01 split as the quartet shattered the Missouri S&T school record by 18 seconds. The team's time of 9:45.12 eclipsed the previous mark of 10:03.73 and currently ranks No. 6 in NCAA Division II and No. 2 in the GLVC.

Born returned the following day to claim victory in the 3,000 meters, crossing the line in 7:57.39. The performance broke the Missouri S&T school record by 21 seconds and now ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 1 in the GLVC, solidifying his place among the top distance runners in Division II.

Owen Fraser (Kirksville, MO/Kirksville) – GLVC Field Athlete of the Week
Fraser continued his dominant indoor campaign with a pair of first-place finishes in the throws. He captured the shot put title with a mark of 19.37 meters, breaking his own school record. The throw ranks as the 16th-best mark in Division II history, currently stands No. 1 in the nation by 27 centimeters, and leads the GLVC by three meters.

He followed that performance by winning the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 19.65 meters, moving to No. 20 nationally and No. 2 in the GLVC.

The sweep of weekly honors highlights another milestone weekend for Missouri S&T, as the Miners continue to stack national-level performances heading deeper into the indoor season.
