Women’s Basketball Set for Road Tests at UIndy and Lewis

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T women's basketball heads back on the road this week for a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference contests, traveling to the University of Indianapolis on Thursday, Jan. 29, with tip-off scheduled for 4:30 p.m., before visiting Lewis University on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m.

The Miners enter the week with a 7–8 overall record and a 3–6 mark in GLVC play after a 69–63 setback against McKendree last Thursday.

About the Miners
Missouri S&T has been solid on both ends of the floor through 15 games this season, averaging 67.1 points per game while holding opponents to 59.4 points, resulting in a +7.7 scoring margin. The Miners shoot 40.7% from the field and continue to control the glass, averaging 43.0 rebounds per game and owning a +6.9 rebounding margin on the year.

Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) leads the Miners offensively, averaging 12.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 43.7% from the field. Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) adds 10.5 points per contest and has been reliable from the free-throw line, shooting 79.1% on the season. Ava McCulla (St. Louis, MO/Parkway South) anchors the frontcourt with 8.8 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game, while Anna Gilbertson (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) provides efficient scoring at 48.0% shooting from the floor.

Defensively, S&T averages 8.6 steals and 3.5 blocks per game, forcing 15.6 turnovers per contest and consistently creating extra possessions.

About the Greyhounds
University of Indianapolis enters Thursday's matchup with a 4–15 overall record and a 3–8 mark in GLVC play. The Greyhounds average 59.5 points per game while allowing 67.4, shooting 40.7% from the field and 29.6% from three-point range. UIndy looks to create offense through defensive pressure, averaging 9.1 steals per game, but will be challenged to limit turnovers after averaging 18.6 per contest.

Patricia Chikamba leads the Greyhounds with 14.7 points per game on 45.0% shooting, while Autumn Rucker adds 10.7 points per game on an efficient 48.2% from the floor. Amyrah Sapenter provides a perimeter threat at 36.3% from three, and Graycie Poe contributes 9.3 points per game while shooting 87.8% from the free-throw line.

About the Flyers
Lewis University enters Saturday's matchup with a 12–6 overall record and an 8–2 mark in GLVC play. The Flyers are one of the league's most efficient teams, averaging 66.9 points per game while allowing just 55.9, resulting in a +11.0 scoring margin. Lewis shoots 44.9% from the field and 33.6% from three-point range, while also controlling the glass with a +4.8 rebounding margin and averaging 13.7 assists per game.

Mallory Ramage leads the Flyers with 13.0 points per game, while Yahaira Bueno adds 12.2 points per contest and shoots 38.6% from beyond the arc. Ally Cesarini contributes 11.1 points per game and is a key presence on both ends of the floor, while Jasmine Jones provides interior defense with a team-high 31 blocks. Lewis also averages 9.6 steals per game and forces 15.6 turnovers per contest, making them a disciplined, well-rounded opponent heading into Saturday's conference showdown.
