CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Missouri S&T track and field sent a focused group of throwers to the Redhawks Invite on Saturday, and the Miners delivered a standout showing at Southeast Missouri, highlighted by multiple personal bests, school records, and NCAA provisional marks.

Women's Highlights
The Miners' women were exceptional in the weight throw, where all three competitors recorded personal bests. Sydney Morris (Jefferson City, MO/Calvary Lutheran) continued her record-breaking start to the indoor season, shattering the school record of 15.73 meters set by Jessica Rhoads in 2022 with a throw of 16.31 meters, finishing fourth behind three SEMO competitors. Claire Huhmann (Gonzaga Preparatory School/Spokane, WA) followed with a fifth-place finish and a personal-best 14.64 meters, while Madelaine Fischer (Anamosa, IA/Anamosa) added a sixth-place result at 14.61 meters, also a personal best.

Morris capped her day with another historic performance in the shot put, breaking her own school record of 13.52 meters set earlier this season. Her winning throw of 14.24 meters marked an NCAA Division II provisional standard, earned first place at the Redhawks Invite, and currently ranks 13th nationally. Fischer finished in eighth place at 10.19 meters.

Men's Highlights
On the men's side, Owen Fraser (Kirksville, MO/Kirksville) continued his dominant early-season form in the weight throw, recording a personal-best 19.28 meters to hit another NCAA provisional mark and place third overall. His performance currently ranks 12th in Division II. Wyatt Caldwell (Troy, MO/Troy Buchanan) also competed well, placing seventh with a throw of 15.26 meters.

Fraser added a second-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 18.52 meters, while DJ Carter (Trussville, AL/Hewitt Trussville) rounded out the Miners' day with a fifth-place result at 14.66 meters.
