Bacon Named GLVC Runner of the Week After Top D2 Finish at Gans Creek Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Andrew Bacon (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves) has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

This marks Bacon's first career GLVC weekly honor.

Bacon earned the recognition after his standout performance at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo., on Friday, Sept. 26. He clocked a time of 25:09.7 to place 10th overall in the men's 8K, finishing as the top Division II runner in the Open Race that featured competition from Division I, Division II, and nationally ranked NAIA programs.

What's Next
Missouri S&T will return to action on Saturday, October 11, when the Miners compete at both the Lewis Crossover and the Brian T. Simpson Invitational.
