ROLLA, Mo. – Kellen Douglas (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh),
Logan Gavwiner (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) and
Luke Giesing (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) of Missouri S&T Men's Soccer won the Missouri State Cup Championship and will advance to the Midwest Regional Tournament this weekend.
Kellen Douglas (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh),
Logan Gavwiner (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) and
Luke Giesing (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) are all a part of the MYSA Independent Falcons in the 2025 Missouri Summer State Cup U19 league. The Falcons, coached by James Wolfe and Craig Drozda, went a perfect 3-0 in group play and rattled off three more wins in the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship.
Their highlight win came in the championship against JB Marine Baum, where both Douglas and Gavwiner scored and Giesing and Douglas both recorded assists.
"I'm very proud to see the hard work Luke, Logan and Kellen have put in throughout the year pay off in the State Cup," Missouri S&T head coach
Robert Cummings said. "I'm proud of how they are representing Missouri S&T on and off the field."
Midwest Regionals begin on June 20 in Overland Park and Olathe, Kansas.
