Joao Vieira Earns D2CCA Second Team All-Midwest Region Honors

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T midfielder Joao Vieira (Punta del Este, Uruguay/International College) has been named to the 2025 D2CCA Men's Soccer All-Midwest Region Second Team, the association announced Tuesday. The honor caps a standout junior campaign for Vieira, who established himself as one of the GLVC's most dynamic attacking threats.

Vieira led the Miners with six goals, two assists, and 14 total points across 18 matches, pacing the team in both scoring and shot production.

He finished the year with 30 total shots, including 11 on goal, and posted a .200 shooting percentage while converting one game-winning goal.

His production helped propel Missouri S&T to a 9-6-3 overall record and a return to the GLVC Championship Tournament, highlighted by key contributions in conference play, including a brace against Truman State.

Vieira's recognition marks another postseason honor for the Miners and positions him among the top returning offensive players in the region for the 2026 campaign.
