Starter Andrew Hedgecorth (Smithville, MO/Smithville) took his first loss of the season after he threw 5 1/3 innings with three runs surrendered on six hits and one walk. The right-hander fanned two. Nick Currie (Granville, IL/Putnam County) struck out three in 2 2/3 scoreless frames.

Lucas Riebeling (Columbia, IL/Columbia) was charged with two runs in the ninth inning. Jacob Cook (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka Community) recorded a scoreless frame with one punchout.

Drury put up two insurance runs in the ninth inning as the game ended 5-2.
