INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholars for the 2025-26 academic year on Tuesday, recognizing student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the year.
The conference honored a record 780 student-athletes across its member institutions, with Missouri S&T leading all schools with 92 selections. Missouri S&T's 92 honorees established a new department record, surpassing the previous mark of 76 set during the 2023-24 academic year.
The men's track & field program led the way with 26 distinguished scholars, including 15 student-athletes who also competed for the men's cross country team. Football followed with 16 honorees, while women's soccer added nine selections.
All 15 Missouri S&T athletic programs were represented among the honorees, highlighting the department's commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
