INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Great Lakes Valley Conference has announced their list of honorees for the Council of Presidents (COP) award, recognizing a record 635 student-athletes for completing their athletic careers with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Missouri S&T set a new department record for honorees, adding 48 to the list.
Of the 635 student-athletes recognized across the conference, just 33 completed their athletic careers with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Missouri S&T accounted for four of those standout individuals:
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville) (Mechanical Engineering) from women's basketball,
Mya McClain (Fort Dodge, IA/St. Edmond) (Psychology) from women's volleyball, Jacob Meyer (Applied Mathematics) from men's cross country and track & field, and
Owen Verning (Collinsville, IL/Maryville Christian) (Civil Engineering) from men's soccer.
