INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its 2025 Men's Soccer All-Conference teams Tuesday morning, with Joao Vieira (Punta del Este, Uruguay/International College) earning First Team All-GLVC honors and Caden Archer (St. Louis, MO/Vianney) being recognized as Missouri S&T's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award recipient. In addition, the Miners were named the GLVC Team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2025 season.

Joao Vieira (Punta del Este, Uruguay/International College) – First Team All-GLVC
Vieira earns his first career First Team All-GLVC selection after anchoring Missouri S&T's offense throughout the 2025 campaign. The junior forward finished the regular season with six goals, two assists, and 14 total points while firing 30 shots, including 11 on goal.

He posted a .200 shooting percentage and a .367 shots-on-goal percentage, consistently serving as S&T's go-to scoring threat. Vieira also tallied one game-winning goal and recorded a brace against Truman State, helping lead the Miners to their strongest conference finish since 2022.

Caden Archer (St. Louis, MO/Vianney) – James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree
Archer was recognized as Missouri S&T's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree, representing the Miners on the GLVC Sportsmanship Team.

The 15 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees are student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of athletic competition. Each honoree is now eligible to become one of their school's two overall Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.

In addition, Missouri S&T received the GLVC Men's Soccer Team Sportsmanship Award, under head coach Robert Cummings. The recognition reflects the Miners' continued commitment to integrity, leadership, and respect both on and off the field.
